Gezeitenwechsel Animation

This is an animation made in blender for a university project. The idea here was display a dried up world in which ships are converted to walk on land. The goal was to have a realistic graphics style.

The main „character“ is a destroyer (based on a WW2 german destroyer) with 6 mechanical legs powered by pistons that walks similar to an ant.

I used huge smoke simulations and physics simulations for smoke, explosions and footprints in the sand. The model is detailed with high resolution textures. However i focues to much on the modelling/texturing/simulating and rigging and to little on composition and camera work which is why those things are done really hastily and unrefined.
